Quick Start

It is quite easy to learn to use the program Internet Notifier. For tracking changes on any resource it is enough to create corresponding task to the resource.

Let's begin with a creation of our first task. For this purpose it is possible to use menu command Edit->New Task or appropriate button on the program toolbar.

After pressing the button a window with options for future task appears.

Let's give an example how to create a task for tracking new messages in a blog. At first we define a name of new task in order to distinguish it from others. We enter it in the textfield Name. In our example the task is named "MTV". In the textfield Address it is necessary to enter the address by which the program can find the required resource. In our example it will be address of the blog "http://newsroom.mtv.com/". We leave the other parameters preset for now. For more complex cases description of setting up can be found in section Tasks creation.

Finally we click on OK and confirm whether the resource has been shown correctly.

So the task was created. If the tracking mode is enabled then the program will automatically inform us about appearance of new entries in this blog. Let's hide the main window using the minimize button and now the program will be visible only as an icon in the notification area. And in case of change detection we will see a special pop-up window with information about the change and will hear a sound signal.
